I have a passion for Photography and love being able to share that passion with friends and family.
Ever since I can remember I have loved taking pictures! Growing up in the small town of Thompson in Northern Manitoba, I had beauty and inspiration around me constantly.
One of my personal goals over the past 20 years has been to get a great shot of lightning. Along the road to achieving this goal, I have worn out several 35mm and digital point and shoot cameras, all the while enjoying other forms of photography including landscapes, wildlife and portraits! Finally, after not being able to get the results I wanted, I bought my first Digital SLR camera in November of 2007. I have not been able to stop taking pictures since and in 2009 I was able to achieve my goal of finally being able to get a great shot of lightning (as you can see above).
Now living in Winnipeg, MB, I strive to gain more knowledge and experience in taking beautiful portraits that my customers love! I have learned a lot over the past couple of years, thanks to friends, family and others who share this wonderful passion. More recently I have attended and participated in seminars and workshops on lighting and composition to assist in my personal growth. I have had a lot of fun getting to where I am today and have plans to continue to learn and grow as a photographer.
In 2009, I won the Henry's Gallery Contest with my picture of geese at sunrise, which can be found in my Portfolio.
In early 2010, my "Wet Web of Winnipeg" photo was selected to be a part of the Photo Central Winnipeg Photo Club Gallery. It was quite an honour to be among so many talented photographers and artists.
